Desmopressin depending on dosage is an antihemophilic agent, a hemostatic agent, and a vasopressin analog. It is used in the treatment of diabetes insipidus, maintenance of hemostasis and control of bleeding in hemophilia A, and mild-to-moderate classic von Willebrand’s disease.
