What is Darbepoetin Alfa?

Darbepoetin Alfa is a colony stimulating factor used for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure; anemia due to concurrent chemotherapy in patients with metastatic cancer. Off label it is used to treat symptomatic anemia in myelodysplastic syndrome.
