Generic Name: Fluoxetine
ProzacĀ® is a brand name for fluoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It is used to treat major depressive disorder, moderate to severe bulimia nervosa, obsessive compulsive and panic disorders. Off label used with selective mutism and dementia related agitation.
