- Courageous Steps for Parkinson’s is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is devoted to taking small steps that result in huge strides. I founded the organization with my cousin. We were inspired by two people, but hope to help many by striving to help all those affected by the disease. Our goal is not only to raise much needed funds for research but also to simply raise awareness of this disease. I have witnessed Parkinson’s disease overtake both my Grandmother, age 83, and Father, age 58. I believe the disease is more than just tremors and trembling because it affects the most basic abilities that we often take for granted such as walking and talking. I was referred to the site by a new friend in the PD community and hope to meet many more. It’s been wonderful getting involved and hearing advice for all
