About Me
|
My interest in changing the health care system was launched when I joined ALS TDF in 2000 as a summer intern during my time at Boston College. I stayed on there for almost 4 years where I was lucky enough to work with hundreds of people with ALS and their families, including the Heywoods.
Anti-violence work is another passion of mine. For 7 years I spent Sunday nights answering a hotline and working in a domestic violence shelter. I also spent several years working for the Massachusetts Coalition against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. I recently finished my masters’ degree at the Harvard School of Public Health, where I focused my studies on health communication while working with a fabulous team on violence and sex trafficking research. I'm really excited to be using and expanding my health communication knowledge at PatientsLikeMe.
Outside work, I’m a big fan of the Red Sox, music, traveling, pilates, baking, and spending time with my incredibly funny and talented husband.
