- I used to have advanced Parkinsons's. In 1995 I had all the symptoms of stage IV PD (Hoehn and Yahr scale - UPDRS score 127). I worked really hard for 3.5 years, using a wide variety of complementary therapies, and became symptom-free in 1998. I have remained well since by taking care of my health. I am now a naturopath and work with many diagnosed with PD who are slowly improving their health and reducing their necessity for medication.
