Well, I'm not usually this open but ... I had open heart surgery (for a mitral valve repair) at the age of 55 in 2005. 'Thank you' University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. Not much fun - but it was a successful operation, not available a few years before (makes you think!) and I have a new lease of life. I'm therefore (very) active and continue to work, lead and challenge conventional thinking. Age is no barrier ... besides, at 61, I'm still a fledgling.
