I'm a specialist in English as a Second Language as a teacher, teacher-trainer, and writer/editor of textbooks. I'm married to a supportive, loving man. I have three stepchildren, and nine step grandchildren. I was diagnosed in early 2007, but I suspect I had PD for at least ten years before that—strange gait, intermittent stiffness in shoulders and lower back, tremors in my right hand, a right leg that feels like it belongs to someone else, and miniscule handwriting. I’ve been working out diligently (Silver Sneakers, weights), and I feel stronger and more in shape even with the symptoms.
