Living in beautiful rural Maine, Have had Partial complex seizures (affecting my left side) for 14 years...they began in college. I have approximately 3 seizures a week. I travel to Boston for medical care and am frustrated that out of the blue they are saying my seizures may not be neurological but due to pulmonary or cardiac issues. This, after a VNS and 2 neurosurgeries! Feel like my how life is turned upside down. I have a husband in the military and 2 beautiful daughters. I am also lucky enough to have an amazing seizure response dog, named Grainger!
