Advice & Tips
Developed horrible upper abdominal pain and awful heartburn, so I quit taking ibu entirely. Also started taking Prilosec 20mg daily. Saw my doc about a week later and the pain had died down to some localized tenderness which worried him. He told me you shouldn't take Ultram/Tramadol with ibu and gave me a Rx for a different kind of NSAID called Disalcid, as well as a Rx for Prilosec to help control the stomach acid.

About Ibuprofen (Over the Counter Drug)

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drug used to relieve pain and swelling. It is thought to have lower levels of side effects than other NSAIDS and is widely found throughout over-the-counter painkiller medications.
