Dealt with depression since I was at least 19. Now am 41. Took me a long time to realize that antidepressants were going to be part of my life probably forever. Try to remain positive, wake up with joy every morning. I've had a lot of loss in my life and trying to heal. Found my high school sweetheart after 20 years and he's in the process of healing my heart. Love music, God, friends, and family. I was adopted as a baby and didn't know this until my brother told me at age 21. Found birth family w/ others with depression and suicide.

My medical issues have been vast.  Endometriosis since age 14.  Finally had hysterectomy at age 33 and was best decision I've ever made.  Pain was gone.  But have had depression as early as I can remember - just didn't know what it was until I was around 27, had Depo-Lupon shots to get pregnant, and sent me into major depression.  Because I can't have children, have dealt with pain of that.  I've had gallbladder, tonsilectomy, 3 laproscopies, and hysterectomy.  They say anesthesia "messes" up your brain so add that to it!  lol  I take 2 anti-depressants, anxiety medicine, and a sleep aid at the moment.
