My name is "renalpenguin" and I was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome caused by FSGS in August 2007. In October 2009, after months of trying to save my kidneys with medication (prednisone, CellCept, cyclosporine) they finally started to fail. I was referred to a transplant team December 2009, was put on the list January 2010, started peritoneal dialysis March 2010, and was given the "gift of life" from my cousin in June 2010. I've had complications, but a biopsy showed me to have no rejection and be FSGS free for now.
