About eKHLIPSE

I am a 56 year old man and started having problems with my legs in about 2002 or 3. I have osteoprosis and have fractured my back 8 times and also have MS in my spinal cord so I thought that my leg weakness was due to this. My feet then began to get numb and very cold. After all of the "usual" tests to rule out other causes I was told, last December 2007, that I was in the early stages of ALS. Althouth it was a shock it was not totally unexpected. I had been in radiology for about 30 years before I retired in 2003 so I knew some of the symtoms of ALS..

More About eKHLIPSE

I had a massive heart attack on Feb 12 2010 and spent 6 weeks in the hospital during which time I had to be resesitated 5 times.  I am now in heart failure.  I had to have a pacemaker implanted about 2 weeks ago, one year to the date of my heart surgery.  I am now doing pretty good all things considered.  My feet are getting pretty bad with neuropathy and my vision is not doing real good.  My vision goes from sharp to blurry all day long, drives me crazy.  I still consider myself to be a very lucky man and have finally learned to enjoy life.  I have a beautiful woman in my life and she does not care if I am sick or not she just wants to love me and be loved by me.  She is also bound and determined to get and keep me as healthy as is possible.  She does not believe in percentages or chances of survival, she says it is all nonsense and ya know what I believe her, after all I am still here and still walking, a little slower and wobbly but still on the move.  God bless all of you.   Ron
