About FormerFMer

Hi, I am a former FM'er, now living 14 years pain free. Each year I celebrate the day that I noticed a significant internal change for the better as another birthday. After becoming well and earning it naturally without the use of drugs, I can safely say that our brains are wonderful and if we can harness the power that lies between our ears, we can make life changing improvements in our well and some times ill-being. I had to believe first that I could become well, which took some time... and now I continue to work with myself and improve upon the path I began. Now I teach people...

More About FormerFMer

"online" how to overcome chronic pain, recover quickly from injury and reduce stress and tension we feel in our muscles using safe, simple, natural tools all available online now.

I am a trained Hanna Somatic Educator® and enjoy giving people the tools which are our birthright to live a life full of joyous expression rather than the other side of the coin.

In my journey, I traveled as a client in the worlds of acupuncture, bioenergetic synchronization technique, bonnie pruden myotherapy, brain gym, chi kung(Qigong), chiropractic, continuum, cranial sacral,  egoscue method, feldenkrais, hellerwork, homeopathy, massage, meditation, muscle activation technique, naturopathy, physical therapy, osteopathy, polarity, postural reconstruction, reiki, rolling, soma bodywork, tai chi, traditional stretching, and yoga.

In addition, I did medications, dietary changes, and an array of supplements.

After years of living in the dark, I live in the light and I continue to be surprised at how using one's brain can offer us a path into well-being and self-improvement.

A couple of summers ago, I was even able to compete in the U.S. Amateur Soccer Assoc. Veteran's Cup where I comfortably walked away with two silver medals in the men's over 40 and over 45's.  Not bad for a former, FM'er... in 5 days I played in 9.5 games of soccer without any negative repercussions...

... and no need for a hot tub, ibuprofens, massage, and most of all it didn't take weeks to recover like it used to ... it wasn't even a concern.  However... I do have to prepare my mind and body and I use the natural process of pandiculation, aka Somatic Education®, to help me as I do every day to remain comfortable, agile, in balance, flexibile, strong, and vital.

I wish you all the best and look forward to getting to know you.

P.S.  I just did a radio show called Winning Life Through Chronic Pain on describing my life with fm and what I did to overcome it.
