i have had irritable bowel syndrome for 20 years then carpal tunnel syndrome had operation for it but still had symptoms, had blood tests, deep bone scan and finally they diagnosed me with fibromyalgia 5 years ago i now have been diagnose with diabetes and hypothyroidism.I also have now been diagnosed with high cholesterol and think i probably have CFS too, but not diagnosed yet.i recently am sleeping until lunchtimes most days and this has been going on for a few weeks now and the nurse i see at the pain clinic thinks i either have CFS/M.E. or am at the fatigue end of fibro or have CFS TOO.

i am 49 years old married with grown up children and twin 14 year old boys, my 8 year old grand-daughter also lives with me and we have residence of her.
My fibromyalgia condition varies in its severity. worse in the winter, but pain clinic thinks i have another underlying condition because my fibromyalgia seems to have progressed a lot more than they would have expected i have severe pain in my left hip most days. in fact i forget what its like not to be in pain to be honest. i also have the achey feeling in my arms most days and have lost most of the strength in my arms, this is due i feel to carpal tunnel even though i have had the operation on my right arm. i still have carpal tunnel symptoms in both arms, numbness, pins and needles. etc..
leg cramps, and my fibro fog is out of control. my memory is absolutely awful. i start a sentence and by the middle i have forgotten what i was going to say. and it doesn;t seem to be getting any better.
i have tried duloxetine, gabapentin, lyrica etc
i am now on my second try with amitriptyline as i have not been sleeping properly for weeks again. it goes in cycles with me, on the sleeping front. i stumble when there is nothing to fall over. i use a stick now for stability and due to the hip pain too. it is mainly my left hip but has started in right hip too now.

i am have been suffering this condition for 5 years now and i dont feel any further forward than i was then. i also suffer from under active thyroid which probably doesn't have as they are similiar symptoms involved but had fibromyalgia long before thyroid problems.
