More About PixieGirl
In 1992 I had my first symptoms of MS. They were weakness, fatigue, vertigo and dizziness. My doctor said it was just stress since I had just moved away from home for the first time, had just bought a house and was planning my wedding. Many doctor's appts. and the only diagnosis I got was probable Lyme Disease. I was treated with oral antibiotics for Lyme Disease since " we don't know what you have for sure, but your Lyme titre is elevated and even though Lyme titres often have false positives, it can't hurt to treat you for Lyme and see what happens." In February of 1993 I became pregnant and started feeling much better, So much so in fact, that I thought I was cured from whatever it was I had had. I went back to work as a nurse, had a wonderful, healthy son and just went on with a normal active life. In 1999 things started changing. Symptoms started up again and now were more MS like ( some tingling and numbness) and after 9 months of testing I finally convinced my doctor to order an MRI of the brain as I suspected MS ..the rest as they say is history. Not the history I wanted but never the less, history.
