Retired teacher/school counselor, diagnosed in July 2007. I live alone so have to make sure I reach out. My friends and family are wonderful. I use a power chair full time since my fall and broken hip in April/09. My legs, hands, arms, shoulders, and speech, are all weak. My plan is to stay busy and do the things I love while I can. With the help of my ALS Clinic in Vancouver, my close friends, siblings and care workers, I hope to remain in my apartment forever. Thanks to all of you who share your knowledge, stories, worries and joys.
UPDATE: I now have "live in" Caregiver.
