After a varied paid/ voluntary career, I've been working as a non-medical advice worker in the National Health Service (NHS) since Nov 02. My previous job was working for the MS Society UK and I've been a volunteer for Motor Neurone Disease Association (ALS) for 20 years. I took a special interest in providing information and support to people affected by NMO and held an annual meeting in the UK since 2004. Because of the expertise of dr Anu Jacob, a Consultant neurologist here at The Walton Centre, I get enquiries about NMO from all over the world - yesterday I had an enquiry from Spain!
