I had Cryptococcal Menengitis due to Aids in 2005 and almost died at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill North Carolina, I fought and won but have neurological damage from the disease which kinda sucks...ok it bites hard. My viral load was 750,000 and cd4 was 102. I think I was the second person to join Patients Like HIV section. Ive met alot of friends on here, some are in some interesting situations like myself which Is why I treasure these friendships. No one knows you or what your going through except someone who is going through it too which Is why this is such a good platform for patients.
