I had Cryptococcal Menengitis due to Aids in 2005 and almost died at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill North Carolina, I fought and won but have neurological damage from the disease which kinda sucks...ok it bites hard. My viral load was 750,000 and cd4 was 102. I think I was the second person to join Patients Like HIV section. Ive met alot of friends on here, some are in some interesting situations like myself which Is why I treasure these friendships. No one knows you or what your going through except someone who is going through it too which Is why this is such a good platform for patients.

Cool  I love the sport of surfing...I like standing outside and staring at storms too....I like living on the edge...or used to and I like messin around on my computer.  I lived a pretty premiscuous lifestyle in the 90s and causght hIV....Im not surprised and In a way it was a blessing in disguise because Id of en=ded up dead by now....I feel dead in many ways, my HIV has been a major nightmare for me and has consumed my life....I wish for brighter days, I wish I could top smoking and wish I could get the fuckin chemical imbalance in my brain in check but given my history of menegitis I doubt that will happen.  I dont live premiscuously anymore....I rarely think about sex at all which is probly due to low testosterone....I don have a supportive sidekick and a 7 year old son  which helps but I suffer from suicidal thoughts...which isnt good by no means.  I live way out in the country on 2 acres  and collect ssdi now after 28 years as an electrician and a marine.   I guess Im winding down
