About Azilect (Prescription Drug)

Azilect is a brand name for the drug Rasagiline, a MAO inhibitor which can enhance the activity of dopamine at the synapse. It is sometimes used in early Parkinson's as a monotherapy to enhance naturally existing levels of dopamine, or may be added on as an "adjunct" to other drugs in later stages.
