This will probably sound like I'm whining but, here goes. Before my diagnosis, I had been having these 'invisible' symptoms. when I first started complaieid about me face feeling like It fell asleep my wife and mother called me a hypochondriac. I think MS heard that and decided to up the anty...,One dayfrom my face all the way down my left sidefelt the same as my face. I went to my Primary care dochtor and after months of trying to figure it out, decided it was all in my head... Oh how right he was...I was at work when it happened, I was a receiver for a big company and one of my bosses approached me because he thought I'd been drinking. The major issue is he knew I didn't drink and he knew something was wrong.My boss personally brought me home and told my wife to bring me to the hospital, Iwasnt fit to drive and he had a major retail store to run. I really don't want to share the heated arguement on the way there but I can say It got Very demotional.
When I got to the hospital the nurses startd using words like bloodpressure, MRI's, and "too young to be a stoke"...6 1/2 hours later and a VERY angry ER chief later, I got diagnosed. with him saying they were sympyoms out of a textbook, and he's going to file a complaint against my primary care doc and the neurologist he referred me to.
Bottom line, If you feel sick dont depend on one doctor if he says nothing is wrong. There is always another person who you can talk to. Always get a second opinion, Somtimes more if needed.
