More About Eliza
I attribute my wellness in the Parkinson community to several things, they are:
1.I believe the fact that I have lived alone all of these years has made me need to do things myself.
2. I believe my physical hard work has helped to stay off a great deal of the Parkinson's symptoms and my willingness to try new things has not left me.
3. With the exception of the first 4 years after the diagnosis of Parkinson's, I have been primarily positive about things that my medication helps Joe to stay under control. I use these phrases on a regular basis; FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT-- OH YES YOU CAN DO IT AND YOU WILL DO IT. (I MUST CONSTANTLY PUSH MYSELF TO DO THINGS
BECAUSE OF DEPRESSION AND APATHY LURKING RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER)
I have taken up oil painting as a therapy for when I am painting,Parkinson's symptoms disappear. I CONTINUE TO DRIVE A MOTOR VEHICLE SAFELY however, the kinds of driving has changed such as no long trips, stay out of rush hour traffic and rarely do I drive at night.
