I'm a Single mom. I have more than 25 years Experience in the Alternative Health Industry. I practice Applied Kinesiology. Before my son was born in 1995, I believed in ALL THINGS NATURAL ! 90s CFS,'95 Depression, Hypothyroid,'08 FM, '10 Tardive Dyskinesia, '11 Toxoplasmosis.

In 1986 I had a BAD case of Candida Albicans after taking Anti-biotics for Acne and a Bladder Infection. It took about 6 months to eradicate the symptoms NATURALLY. In the early 90s I started becoming very exhausted with any kind of stress. After my son was born on May 5th 1995, and then diagnosed with CAH (a congenital abnormality),I was diagnosed with Post-Partum Depression and Hypo-Thyroiditis. I became a single mother,and as the years went by I got progressively weaker and unable to work more than a 12-18 hr a week job. In the summer of '08 My son and I were in two automobile accidents a month apart. Since than I have experienced Chronic Insomnia and Chronic pain. In the fall of '08 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. In the spring of '09 I lost all my THYROID function when Forest Labs REFORMULATED their Natural Desiccated Thyroid (ARMOUR), Causing me to lose all ability to Walk, Talk and Think straight. Then in 2010, I was diagnosed with Tardive Dyskinesia (late onset movement disorder) caused by Anti-Psychotic Medications I was prescribed for an ERRONEOUS condition! In '08 I contracted TOXOPLASMOSIS, which took until 4/11, and my insistence to get my doctors to test me. ******I have found out recently that I am sensitive to TITANIUM DIOXIDE which seems to be in almost EVERY medication in tablet form, Which I was only able to narrow down with the process of elimination and APPLIED KINESIOLOGY !!! TITANIUM DIOXIDE makes me have an upset stomach and other flu like symptoms!!!***

17 days since magnesium l-threonate . Praise God , I had about 90 minutes through the day that i wasn't over whelmed by discomfort. I'm laughing more +evan have glimpses of creativity. My son accused me of Bi-Polor! In Nov. '12, I purchased a used sewing machine w/out a control foot peddle, which I've not had funds +momentum to purchase yet. Creativity/Imagination and Hygiene are Barometers of health for me. Showering is extremely strenuous, so I only do it every 4-7 days. I would like to get up the strength to henna my hair again too. I have continuous hot flashes after a shower, which makes me feel it to be a waste.

Since I started the MagMind, Magnesium L-Threonate on May 14th, I have had better moods, my brain is sharper, and the RLS is all but Gone!
Everything hurts,I hate that I am so used to SO many nagging symptoms, but Today, the pain is at least manageable and I'm emotionally encouraged! Praise God!
Unfortunately there is not a category between good and neutral or bad and Very Bad. Plus Neutral does not effectively describe an degree of intensity of feeling, pain or discomfort.

Advice & Tips

STILL NO SLEEP!!! I believe High Cal -Phos level causes FM Insomnia! Lunesta shut off my mind, but i NEVER fell asleep! It does not treat underlying insomnia cause in FM.

  Hi Daflower,
  The Lunesta did not work for me because I have the MTHFR mutation. FMers EEGs indicate under-stimulated Cerebellum (the brains movement control center) Hence RLS, etc. This is explained by Dr. St. Amand's FM Theory. ie; Guaifenesin protocol/ Theory of fibromyalgia cause- This theory involves phosphate accumulation in cells that eventually reach a level to impede the ATP process, possibly caused by a kidney dysfunction or missing enzyme that prevents the removal of excess phosphates from the blood stream. This theory posits that fibromyalgia is an inherited disorder, and that phosphate build up in cells is gradual (but can be accelerated by trauma or illness). Calcium is required to buffer the excess phosphate when it enters the cells. The additional phosphate slows down the ATP process; however the excess calcium prods the cell to action. Dr. St Amand goes on to say in his book "What Your Doctor May Not Have Told You About Fibromyalgia" that then the cells become exhausted…thus in the brain, leading to Insomnia etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guaifenesin_protocol
