About bipolar2

Male.. Resident UK. I have suffered from bipolar since a teenager, however not diagnosed until aged 40. Currently rapid cycling (weekly) bipolar 2, with some mixed episodes and frequent suicidal ideation, during the worst depressions. Intermittently have anxiety and panic attacks.

Also suffered from asthma since childhood. Mis-diagnosed at 20 after suicide attempt and hospitilisation as personality disorder. Lithium for 8 years after manic depression diagnosis and various anti-depressants, which did not work and contributed to severe weight gain. Recently tried topirimate, now seeking an effective combination in addition to CBT and hypnotherapy for relaxation.
