About Lori2162

I used to be pretty active, roller blading, bike riding etc. I became a Gramma 5 years ago and my Granddaughter just makes me feel happy always! I've worked with the same company for 12 years as an Office Coordinator (which means I'm an Office Manager who sits in front of computers all day long), I've been with my husband for 18 years, 5 of them married, and have 2 grown kids, a boy and a girl. I got into a car accident over 2 years ago and my whole life changed after that. Fishtailed and ended up slammed into a concrete pole and the rest is pain, pills and doctors.

More About Lori2162

The picture on my short Bio was taken 5 yrs. ago at my son's wedding.  I wish I still looked like that but after being on Lyrica, I have gained about 30 pounds in the last 2 or 3 years.  But, I'm on a wonderful diet and I have already lost 10 pounds in 1 month.  I also go to our Community Center gym with my husband who is my personal trainer - he makes sure I don't over do it but it seems like every time I go, the next couple of days I'm hurting! When I first started going to my Rheumatologist, he took blood samples and found out that my Thyroid was so low, he said I looked like I was about to fall into a Coma!  I take 137 micrograms of Levothyroxine every single morning at about the same time and I'm supposed to take it with a full glas of water but I have to have coffee first thing in the morning so I take it with that.  I will be taking this for the rest of my life.  I'm 48 yrs. old and I've been skipping my monthly visits very often when I used to be right to the day soooo, now I'm also going through pre-menopause.  I can't believe this Fibromyalgia happened to me!  Some days I feel like a retard (no offense) but I talk A LOT and I'll forget a simple word and then I forget the whole thing I was talking about.  That is one of the things about this Fibro that I hate more than the pain!  My mom, a fantastic, funny, always on the go died suddenly in April.  I still can hardly register it.  I'm the only one of 6 siblings who lives 1200 miles from what used to be "home"  I find myself crying  and calling out to her almost every day.  I was always a "woos" when it came to pain and now I have it all the time.  Oh, I said I'm 48 yrs. old but I still feel inside that I'm more like 34 years old.  I've always looked very young and I still do.  I take lots of vitamins too....My Vitamin D was very low so I take the largest dose of that every day, B-12 every day, sometimes 2 x a day and one shot of 1000 mg once a month, Womens Daily vitamin and I think that's it. Alright, I think that's it for now - I will add a current pic of me when I get on my home computer later.
