Had chronic widespread pain from the time I was 6. At 13 I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and had my first migraine at 15. The migraine lasted 33 days straight. I've been misdiagnosed and dismissed by doctors most of my life. The RA diagnosis was the best they could come up with at the time, but over the years I've been referred to shrinks, told it was all in my head, and even had a Rheumatologist tell me FM is a trashcan diagnosis & it was all in my head. I never went back. Finally got into the Stanford Pain Clinic & was diagnosed with severe FM & chronic daily migraines.
