Special interest: beam measurement and dose rate effects of light on tissue repair, inflammation and nerve conduction.
In the last 5 years I have held committee and / or board positions with the World Association for Laser Therapy, the North American Association for Laser Therapy and the Biomedical Optics Society as well as chairing and / or speaking at almost all international conferences on LLLT.
I am being a researcher here on patients like me. We have a treatment for other forms of chronic pain and some of our customers claim that it works for fibromyalgia so i joined here to see if patients here have tried it. It seems not.
The Lancet recently published a favourable review of LLLT for neck pain. One of the mechanisms established for LLLT pain relief is that is down regulates DRG, the dorsal horn and the sympathetic ganglia. The Lancet abstract is available here. http://blog.thorlaser.com/?p=379
