About FibroFighter83

I have had Fibromyalgia for as long as I can remember. I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my Senior Year of High School and the only reason it happend then was because my Chiropractor that I had been going to since I was 12 told me to have my doctor do a rule out. That is where they take blood every day for 2 weeks and test you for everything from A-Z & when all of them came back negative they sent me to a specialist who did the trigger points test which I had several so she said you have FIBROMYALGIA. I was given a brochure on the symptoms & they said we think yoga helps and that ...

More About FibroFighter83

I have had Fibromyalgia for as long as I can remember. I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my Senior Year of High School and the only reason it happend then was because my Chiropractor that I had been going to since I was 12 told me to have my doctor do a rule out. That is where they take blood every day for 2 weeks and test you for everything from A-Z & when all of them came back negative they sent me to a specialist who did the trigger points test which I had several so she said you have FIBROMYALGIA. I was given a brochure on the symptoms & they said we think yoga helps and that was it. Even though it sounds crazy I was so happy to know I was right there was something wrong with me. All this pain I have lived with my whole life was not all in my head! Since then I have found a new doctor who has worked with Fibro patients for over 10 years. He started me on Tramadol 50mg which I take 8 times a day. I also take something at night to help me sleep. It was so hard growing up with pain because everyone thinks you are crazy &  I think now the only hard thing for me is when people say they remember what it was like before the got this or how they felt before the pain. I don't have any memory where I didn't feel like this so I don't ever remember not hurting. I guess in a way it is a good thing because I don't miss what I never had. I hope my story helps for those who aren't sure what to tell their doctor ask for a rule out, and don't let anyone tell you your pain isn't real and nothing is wrong with you! Thank You all for you support.
