Retired after 34 years as a senior digital systems specialist for worldwide technology company. Presently work part time as a licensed home inspector, school bus driver, and landlord/handyman for 5 rental homes. I play guitar and organ, and do all my own home repairs, including appliances and furnaces. Married to present wife since 1991. She works as a Senior Underwriter for a major bank. My former wife died of Lupus. One daughter, married to College professor . Presently my parkinsons is well controlled with meds, and I consider it a minor inconvenience, rather than a major problem. I am in good health otherwise.

Neuro doubled Mirapex to 2- 1mg tabs 3X per day. This eliminated having to take both regular Sinemet 25/100 tabs and Sinemet CR 50/200 tabs. Now take only Sinemet CR 50/200 every 6 hours, last one at bedtime. No more "off" times between med doses. Tremor and "PD gait" after waking in morning are now reduced by 90%. Sinemet side effects are now reduced. Now am 99% symptom-free during all waking hours.

I am now at my lowest weight since 2006. TOTAL WEIGHT LOST FROM 01/01/2012 TO 04/08/2013: 65 POUNDS. Waist went from 44 inches to 38 inches.
No special diets or weight loss programs or groups, just a common-sense approach-mainly regular exercise or physical activity and "reprogramming" eating habits by consuming about 1/3 of the amount of food I ate before.

My neuro doubled my Mirapex dosage which allowed me to elimminate "regular" Sinemet. I now take only Sinemet CR every 6 hours along with other meds.
