About MSA in Houston

I was diagnosed July 2, 2009. I live alone which means I will move to an assisted living facility sooner than I might otherwise have. My neurologist here in Houston is one of the few doctors that is actually researching the cause of MSA! There is so little known about our disease & most research is about how to treat symptoms. My cadre of physicians include my neurologist, a great urologist, world reknowned cardiologist, and super ENT. I've been through months of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. I suffer extreme neurogenic rheumatic pain which is incapacitating

More About MSA in Houston

My progression is quite rapid in the last 2 months.  I am 59 years old.  My doctor told me on January 14, 2010 that her estimate is about 3 more years.  I have 2 goals during this time.  First, to spend as much time as possible with my loving family.  Second, to help raise money for my neurologist research.  I would love to chat with others, especially those that live alone.        Ann
