About Ithurts

FM has taken control of my life. I spend most of my time in bed flat on my back or on my side. My past is not pretty, I lost 2 of my 3 sons. The 1st to Cystic Fibrosis, he lived for 24 years and suffered the whole time, my 2nd son was born normal but contracted Bacterial Meningitis before he was 1 day old. He lived for 15 years, never being able to do anything for himself, could be a major reason for depression however, I call it constant sadness. My 3rd son is physically fine and is married w/2 beautiful children and a wonderful wife. Third one coming in late spring.

More About Ithurts

It took so many years for a reumatoid doct to diag. me having fibro. Symtoms range from severe all over pain to CFS. I often have flu-like symptoms lasting for days. The only meds I take w/direct contact w/FM is gabapentin 600mgs/1x3a day,and cymbalta 30mgs. once a day. My depression at present is to do w/not wanting to do anything but lay in bed. I take 1mg. of xanax perdiem and Ambien cr at bedtime. The xanax was given to me to control the anxiety at the loss of my 2 sons and that anxiety goes nowhere. I've accepted that it's here to stay. The other problem is horrible pain on the soles of my feet and w/ research on the internet it seems likely that it could be Plantar Fasciitis. Other than that I am fine, the best thing that has happeded to me as of late is that I found this website, where I can share w/PLM and vent my frustrations.

P.S. I also have SVT which is a heart condition, don't need to get into that now as I believe it's not connected w/my FM Before I was diagnosed w/FM I underwent 7 years of cortizone injections in each one of my discs just to find out the pain was not coming from there. Also had the nerve endings burnt w/a needle (large) no anesthesia in the side of my neck. Very painful, screaming painful. When I got home and removed the dressing the skin was black and burnt, looked like a marshmellow overdone at a cookout. So bad because I still had no FM diag. Yeah I guess I am pissed, at least with those wasted 7 years. Now my ruematoid. doc says I need to return to said Pain Clinic. WTF because he doesn't know what else he can do for me. Just sayin' help me.
