Anxiety & depression run in my family on both sides. Episodes of depression began at age 16. In 1992 I started on prozac, then zoloft due to job stress. In 2003 I developed panic attacks & a hyperstartle response. Slowness, stiffness, gait & balance problems started in 2005 & toe tremors in June 2008. My father had PD for 25 years, my paternal aunt & uncle also. I've been married 31 yrs & have 2 wonderful, successful sons ages 27 & 31 living far away. I worked as a RN for 35 years but took early retirement because I couldn't keep up the pace or handle the stress any longer.
