I'm a 24-year-old college graduate, diagnosed with fibromyalgia, arthritis, myofacial pain, and an unspecified connective tissue disorder, as well as a host of secondary conditions. I'm struggling to learn how to live life with a physical disability... trying to find out who I am now... wondering about what kind of future I'll have...

I started having knee pain in 2001 and was diagnosed with patellofemoral syndrome. The knee pain never went away, and in 2003 I started having hip pain as well. Last year (summer 2008), I began having pain in my back and hands as well.
I now have a diagnosis of arthritis in my back, general hypermobility syndrome causing pain in my joints, and fibromyalgia making life more difficult.
I frequently use forearm crutches or a rollator to get around.
I'm mourning my past life as a pianist and ballroom dancer, and my dream future of being a mom and homemaker, and trying to find a purpose in what I'm going through.
