About wormy72

I was diagnosed with YOPD Aug 2006 , at 34 yrs old. I have had symptoms for years, but they never added up together as something like Parkinsons. Now 3 1/2 yrs from diagnosis and 2 1/2 yrs on long term dissability i've been approved for SSDI. I want everyone to know that it is sometimes a struggle with SS, but it can be won. It may take you some time, but keep on pushing and you can get the help that is there for us all.

More About wormy72

Living with Parkinsons is a journey in itself. I have been diagnosed 1yr and 8months now,and it has been a rollercoaster ride for sure. The stifness, pain, tremors, depression, short temper, vision disturbances, numbness, tingling, falling asleep at any time and anywhere, then insomnia when its time to go to bed, dystonia, and the endless raising of the dosage of meds. It's enough to drive someone crazy, but we all continue on. We all live our lives to the best of our ability, not because we have this disease and don't want to miss something because of it. We continue on, because we are still who we were before diagnoses, just with a few new quirks and a whole new family of Parky's to lend a helping hand.
