About kpax

HI everyone! I am a 23 yr old who is currently living in Antioch Tn. I have just received my diagnoses. It was a bitter sweet thing to get the diagnoses. I have been going to doctors since I was about 8 for pain, and always was told it was "growing pains". So although this is not something anyone wants, I am happy to have a true reason for the pain. Both my mother and father also have Fibromyalgia. (in my picture is one of my sisters, a cousin, a great friend, and of course myself (I'm the one in the middle in the front))

More About kpax

I have had migraines since about the age of 3 (my parents tell me anyway). At the same time I was dealing with the migraines I had 4 surgeries. All before I was 6 yrs old. I have had body and joint pain for as long as I can remember. I believe the first time I went to a doctor for the pain I was about 8. They would send me to PT and just say "it's growing pain, it will go away". It never did. At a very young age I started self harming, and later diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Since then I have also been diagnosed with sever anxiety, ptsd, borderline personality disorder among other disorders added and taken away all the time. I dropped out of school when I was 16 to stay home with my mom. She was just going through all of the testing and getting her diagnoses of fibromyalgia. It was been a very up and down road for her to get there. She has had her memory affected really bad. Which is why I dropped out of school, she could no longer drive and had caught the kitchen on fire because she put food in the oven and forgot and went to bed to take a nap. By this time she had lost her job and so I wanted to be with her to make sure she was ok well my dad was at work. I started babysitting at home during the day and worked two jobs after my dad came home from work to make up for her lost income. It is hard to believe that was only 6 short years ago. Now to current time. I had knee surgery on my right knee Oct 2008, then I had knee surgery on my left knee jan 2009. I can not work for more then two hours with out feeling like I am going to pass out from pain and just being plain tired. I have also just found out that I might have to get a hysterectomy, it will just depend on how bad and the number of cysts there are. Well I have just spilled my life story to anyone who reads this. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to learn about me.
