Interested in travel and have been lucky enough to have lived in France for a year, travel through Italy/Greece, England/Scotland, Spain and Portugal and Egypt. I have several piercings and tattoos and I am planning on more ink. I am very interested in Egyptology and Archaeology and sometimes take courses through the University of Toronto. I love ancient history, comparative religion, and arguments. I have a dog. I enjoy going camping, trips to the cottage, hanging out, taking the dog out and belly dancing. Former Massage Therapist. I'm a former Massage Therapist who has lived with chronic pain for most of my life.  I was born with a birth defect known as Congenital Hip Dysplasia = dislocated hip due to a malformed hip joint.  I have had several surgeries to correct this, the most recent being total left hip replacement in 2002.  This is where the story of my Fibro/CFS starts, though I didn't know it at the time.  Prior to having THR, I had finally decided to go back to school to become a Massage Therapist.  I spent 2 years of studying and graduated with honours and went onto pass the provicial exams to qualify to work.  After only one full year of working I had to give it up because my left hip gave up.

I had hoped to return to practicing massage after my hip replacement, however, due to some twist of fate I have never fully recovered - still suffering chronic pain in the hip area.  I have had a very hard time getting any real answers in regards to the pain and unfortunately have found that no one seems to want to take any real interest in discovering why it is causing so much pain.  It is due to this pain that I feel the whole slide down into Fibro/CFS began.  Because of the constant ache in the hip area my body slowly developed a Non-restorative sleep pattern - manifesting at first as depression, then came the overall achiness.  Every night I would go to bed, exhusted and sleep throughout the night and still wake up even more exhusted and feel like I had been run over by a Mac Truck during the night.
