About zoomer

I have three brothers and lots of nieces and nephews. My Dad is 83 yrs. and very active and healthy. My Mom passed away 12 years ago from cancer. My family is very important to me. I travel from Alaska twice a year to get together with them all. I never had a baby but I got to be a mom for about 12 years. My foster daughter had autism as well as other challenges. My pain is lessened by 75%. Sometimes it is nill. A little worried about paralysis.

I am enjoying not having to wear winter coats, scarves, gloves etc. Temperatures hitting 60 degrees most days. Some sun.

I have gained weight from being so sedentary thanks to my back troubles. Boredom from being so sedentary causes me to snack. Yuck and shoot on the weight.

Is there anything in particular that influenced this weight increase?

I have been receiving God's comfort in that HE GET'S IT He knows my pain.
He gives me tolerance.
He has shown me some coping strategies.
I have a plan. I am going to the health clinic Monday...not waiting for my gp to return. I will see any doctor but I will start the ball rolling for surgery.

Toby kitty woke me up so sweetly this morning, licking and nudging me instead of biting me like usual. He is learning! I can hear the many birds singing and it is still dark outside. lovely!

My pain is reduced by about 75%, finally, eleven days after the epidural steroid shot. Woot!

slept great. No pain, only numbness.. and paralysis of foot and ankle. Praying the nerve damage is not permanent. Appointment with surgeon soon.

I have had great success with this med for several years. A couple months ago pdoc switched me to Saphris. I asked to be switched back and am now on Abilify again.

Severe pain for the last two weeks has taken away my appetite. Sick to stomach at times.

I don't know why exactly. I am grateful for so many things. That helps a mood a lot...gratitude. The sun has been out for two days and is expected again today! Pretty good for a rain forest. :)
