I'm a 53 yr. old wife and mother of 5, who has been very blessed to have them supporting me in every way. I was diagnosis with Ms about 2 yrs. ago. My first symptom was I lost the ability to walk for a brief period of time, shortly after I regained my ability to walk. As time progressed I lost my eye sight completely, I can not walk, and my mobility is very limited. This disease attacked my body very quickly. I am a God fearing woman and I believe all things are possible through him. My faith is strong in him. I am here to gain any info. I can about Multiple Sclerosis, and Treatments.

More About LadyFaithful

About 6 yrs. ago my legs became very weak, so weak I lost the ability to walk.  I went to the hospital, but the Doctor's didn't know what was wrong with me. Shortly after I regain strength in my legs. Which was short lived, I was very unbalanced. I would take a few steps bounce up and down even when standing still.  I had a MRI and they couldn't find anything wrong.  However Parkinson's Disease was the first suggested to me because of my bouncing unbalanced demeanor.  For the first two year I went through so many changes without a clue as to what was wrong with me....  I had to use a walker to walk, I would get server headaches to the point I couldn't stand for anyone to even touch my hair.  It felt as if there were thousands of pins sticking me in my hands.  I couldn't control my bladder or bowels as well as I use too. I was depressed and very confused!! The Doctor's couldn't find an answer so I had no treatment other than over the counter medications.  About the 3rd year my Vision began to blur and I lost sight in one eye, shortly after I lost sight in the other eye. ( I've been completely bind for 4 year's now).  It was then I was sent to a Ms Doctor ( Columbia, Sc) and I had another MRI and a spinal tap done and it was suggested that  I had Multiple Sclerosis. However it was an educated guess because my test wasn't reading Ms, but my symptoms were.    In 2005 I went to a specialist in Charlotte, NC and I was officially Diagnosed with MS.  I'm glad to finally know what's going on with me....   Unfortunately, I've been told it's to late for me to take any medication.  Do to the rapid progression of my MS, I was told it really wouldn't reverse anything.  I am totally depended on my family.   I'm confined to a wheelchair, I am completely blind and just recent (last week) I had an attack....   I feel that my physicians gave up on me long before They even knew my diagnoses.  fortunately, for me my faith and trust has always been in God!!  I know through Christ Jesus all things are possible!!!  So, for all of you who believe in the power of prayer please remember me.  If you have any info. on MS Specialist in the Sc, (or) NC area please let me know.....Smile
