More About pezzerific

(Bipolar secondary to Traumatic Brain Injury) I had a car accident with my father at age 14.  A woman ran a 4-way stop sign at 65 miles per hour and hit our new VW camper.  I had an over the shoulder seat belt on, but still my head hit the 'A' pillar, the metal piece that holds the windshield in on the sides.  I had a major head injury that went undiagnosed for years-the psychiatrist then (in mental hospital) misdiagnosed a schizoid disorder and gave me both insulin shock therapy and electro convulsive therapy.  I also was diagnosed bipolar (finally) around 1978 by a doctor on an outpatient basis, having long ago moved away from the primitive State I was in hospital in.  For years, I struggled with these conditions because medical science was learning about them, knowing NOTHING about head injury and the resultant behavioral outbursts.  I now have half a handle on them, still struggle with temper and anger, go off due to the traumatic brain injury and then feel very remorseful.  My wife, a Clinical Social Worker, helps me a lot, is very patient and understanding.  I dropped my therapist due to his obsession with Jung and 'love' being a cure-all for my conditions. What a fool he is.  My Psychiatrist on June 15, 2009 went out of the shrink business.  He then moved into removing age spots with laser therapy, according to his nurse...Go figure!  He is gone now, and so is an excellent psychiatric nurse, who quit his employ when he became obsessed with laser therapy. I was very lucky to find another psychiatrist who was accepting new patients.  This seemed to be an excellent fit during my first 2 visits a year ago.  Now, he changes my meds during each visit, one minute he thinks I have bipolar secondary to head injury, then no bipolar...have I got news for his ass.  My wife and I have approached his administrator to complain about this bas**rd.  I should be getting a new shrink, I've been told.  We'll see.
