Hello! I am an African American woman who was suddenly stricken with this illness on May 5, 2005. It first started with me losing the sight in BOTH eyes simultaneously (talk about a frightening situation)! I have a large family and friend support system, and my faith in GOD has remained steadfast!!! It's a beautiful thing to know that there is a network of people who are experiencing the same things that I am, and that can relate with what I am going through. I hope to have the ability to speak with everyone as often as I can get to a computer! Always remember, KEEP SMILING!!!
