About AnnieOakley

Let's see.... about me? I'm 36, and have been having symptoms for a couple of years... especially the horrible fatigue, but all the others listed below as well. Still searching for answers and going through testing. It takes forever just to get appointments! At this point MS seems like the strongest candidate... it's the only disease that seems to tie everything together, although many of you here know that it is hard to get doctors to listen! I am craving answers! I am very, very lucky to have a wonderful family and great friends and co-workers who support me every day!

More About AnnieOakley

I am married to a wonderful man, and am the mom of a terrific 14 year old daughter. I am so lucky my husband is a great cook and he cooks for us just about every night!

I used to be much more active, enjoying camping, hiking, mountain biking with my hubby, and going to the beach (here in the PNW it's really the ocean!)  I love to go tide-pooling.  I used to work out several days a week and I liked running and staying in shape.  Over the past couple of years, I've been able to do less and less-- life got busy and I just figured that I was a little run-down.  Well... I kept being more and more tired, in pain, etc, etc.  Then other symptoms added on over time.  Now we don't get to go and do much at all and I spend most of the weekend sleeping!  I know this is a major drag for my family, and I dream of the day when I can be active again.

I've always been kind of a stress-puppy, so I have to force myself to de-stress!  I am a major "type-A" personality, so I have to learn to let go of stuff- especially now!

I am a school counselor- a job that is a lot of fun, but also carries with it a lot of stress. Wouldn't it be cool if one of my students someday found the cure!?!
