About Candid

My name is Don Hitko. I am leader of the Lansing Michigan Parkinson's Support Group. We are the largest Group under the Michigan Parkinson's Foundation banner. Our group sucess is evident by our Dec., 2008 and Jan. 2009 attendance. The combined total exceeds 100 during two of the most blistering and bone cold days we have experienced in years. Joining with others in the group to provide a viable program has given me energy and a sense of purpose that has put PD on the back burner. My essays have titles like "the Cruel Magician", "Scat Cat ITs Turtle Time", "Four Words" and "Guidelines for Anyone Associating with PD Persons" Nearly all of the eassys have a humorous twist. Humor and hugging are part of our groups culture. We try to have music at each meeting. Anyone interested in getting a list as a prelude to getting any of my essays can contact me.
