I have one daughter, 33, who was six weeks old at the time I was diagnosed. I worked full time for 20 years with my MS (was "invisible MS" for about 15 years), retired in '94. Have a loving husband who does so much around here. I'm 100% dependent on a pwr wheelchair, have aide 24/7, can no longer take steps even with a walker. Built an attached, accessible greenhouse when I retired. Ran a large social service agency. Forgot to mention I have a 16-month-old granddaughter who has learned to ride on my lap in my wheelchair.

More About Oilyn

I had trouble getting my type of MS to stick on the web site.  I am Relapsing Progressive.

I had my first exacerbations this year since 1994.  I am about to start on Tysabri as soon as the paperwork gets straightened out.  I would welcome hear from anyone who is or who had been on it.

Other than this and the above information, my husband and I were still taking trips up to this year when one of my exacerbations with left me unable to take the few steps I needed to negotiate  inside an airplane.  I also had been growing orchids and breeding Christmas cacti, but over the past few years I have lost the use my hands for anything but the most minimal tasks.  I use Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition program for typing my messages.  I also have a webpage: http://wanspages.prodigy.net/emintzer/
