OCD is, in my opinion, my own personal hell. It took me 25 years to face up to it. I don't get enough CBT, and the medications I have been on aren't working too good. I also have many coping techniques, most of them are unhealthy. Where I am, a lot of people don't understand how disabling OCD really is. Most health professionals don't think OCD is a severe enough illness to be even be listed, and neither does Social Security (most believe that schizophrenia or depression is the most serious). I have had benefits before, but I lost them when I attempted full time work. I am currently trying to get back on Social Security. Here, it is very difficult to get benefits with OCD, mostly because it is not fully understood.
