I recently got diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder after suffering from my second Major Psychotic break from reality. My first (at 17) went untreated and therefore undiagnosed. Both times I suffered from hallucinations (voices, seeing things etc.) and delusional thoughts. Both episodes I was hospitalized, my first I was arrested and lasted about a week (of mania) and the second lasted for over a month of mania. I am now more depressed than I've ever been and have been on med's for going on 7 months. I miss the "old" me, My second break i threw $18,000 out the window(mostly student loans).
