Right now I have numbness and some shaking in my hands when trying to do fine motor skills. I am eating right and staying active . My doctor says if I get anymore symptoms he will start me on meds, or if I get any more lesions. I currently have 15, keeping my fingers crossed I don't get anymore.

November 2007 I was at Camp Pendalton because my son was graduating from marine bootcamp, I believe this is when my symptoms started. I thought I pulled a muscle in my right calf. But I am having the same cramping in my calf now. When I came back from California I was at work and my nose and left half of my face went numb. Went to my family doctor , he put me in the hospital and did an MRI and Cat scan and all kinds of blood tests. Saw a neurologist in the hospital , they said I had lesions and wanted to do a spinal tap.Had that done, found out I had a Chiari 1 malformation in my brain. got a spinal headache, had to have a blood patch done. Got rid of the headache. Spinal tap had no abnormalties. Gave me steroids to reduce the inflamation. Took about one month for numbness to go away. Doctors said they didn't know what caused the problem. Could have been a virus. No more problems until October 2008. Same problem numbness started on left half of my face , then my hand and left arm. Called the doctor to make appointment, before seeing him, had trouble swallowing one night. That really freaked me out. Called him and he told me to prop up my pillow, any trouble eating , get to the hospital right away. Next day numbness went to the right side of my face and arm and leg. Went to the ER and they did more blood tests and he ordered another MRI and Cat scan. Couldn't find anything different, sent me to the bigger hospital in Ft wayne Indiana. Got sick while in the hospital, got a nasty thing called C-Diffcile, went home after 4 days still with no diagnosis, made appt with neurologist. Still felt bad , went back to hospital near my home, spent 10 more days in the hospital , the Neurologist office made an appt in Indianapolis at IU Medical center. Went there about a 1 1/2 weeks ago, he told me that I had 15 lesions and in was probably MS. Thats where I stand right now, will see my regular DR unless more symptoms occur.
