I am a 55 year old female,diagnosed the day after my 51st birthday. I am an R.N. specializing in Oncology nursing. Unfortunately, I had to give up my nursing practice due to the Parkinson's. I had been in the profession for 20 years, and miss my patients, and co-workers very much. I also am under treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis and a spinal condition. I call it my triple play. I keep busy by reading, knitting and crocheting. The knitting and crocheting is difficult at times due to the pain and stiffness in my hands, and the cramping that I experience. I remain hopeful.
