About andreag

I'm sure that my onset date of 5/82 and dx date of 8/02 is VERY strange! I did tell my doctors about my symptoms, but was told that I had mental problems. The doctor "Homey" wasn't about to refer me to a neurologist, because he was too big for that. I was told, instead, that I had Spinabifida Occulta? This is not a real disease! I looked it up! My next doctor still didn't believe that MS was real and still feels that changing my diet will do the trick? She then started having cooking classes to cure what ails ya'. More About andreag

She's no longer in the States. It's wrong to say hooray, because I want everyone to get the true help that they need and deserve! That's everywhere in the world. In 1990 my symptoms totally disappeared and I did think I was crazy, but alls well that ends well until 1998. I received flu shot that put me under the table! That was in the winter. By spring/summer the tingling was back with a vengeance. Still, I kept going until I was going willy nilly doing the grapevine in aerobics. I finally begged my doctor to listen to me. I finally had to bring my husband with me to convince him that I wasn't just some neurotic woman and then the doctor thought my husband was going to beat him up! My hubby's not even like that! I at least was refered to a neurologist and finally dianosed with MS. Since then, I've had many troubles, dizzyness, vertigo and I couldn't work anymore, at least not like I had been. I had been working 60-70 hour weeks. No one understood and they still don't. At any rate the vertigo is gone. I just have A LOT of difficulty walking. I still work part time as an accountant for Habitat to Humanity in managing mortgages and completing the financial statements. I must say that Im still disappointed! Where'd my life go? I want it back, but know that's not going to happen. So, I'll just continue to do the best that I can. Thank goodness for PLM!
