About Kinney

I am a wife of 58years, Mother of four children and Grandmother of 11. Great Grand Mother . a nineteen year Breast Cancer survivor. My Father had Parkinson's Disease so I recognized the symptoms. My first clue was difficulty writing, (micro graphic.) My family noticed and brought to my attention that I carried my right arm at a stiff angle. I brought these symptoms to my doctor. He ordered an MRI to rule out a stroke. He sent me to a Neurologist. I am currently taking one mg of Azilect daily plus 8 mg of Requip XL plus 1/2 tab of Carbidopa-levodopa 25-100tab three time a day.

More About Kinney

In June I began having problems choking while eating.  My Doctor prescribed Carbidopa-levo 25-100 Tab Tev.  1/2 tab three times a day.  Had some problems taking the pill before eating, therefore,  I started taking the pill after eating  and now not so bad.

11-18-2010  Continuing on the same meds and doing quite well.  Fusion spinal surgery was completed in September of this year.  Recovery has gone well.  Water Aerobics helps with Parkinson's and spinal problems.

I have also added to my family two great granddaughters and a great grand son due shortly.  We are enjoying being members of a Parkinson's support group at Florida Hospital.

7-24-2011  Continuing with drugs, water aerobics, and have added daily yoga.    Doing well.

11-28-2011   Doing well, drugs remain the same, have added massage to my regimen.  In the New Year, my Parkinson's Support Group is adding a Dance Class to help with balance and movement.  Should be fun.
